Rahul Dravid to coach India A and India U-19 teams
The Wall of the Indian cricket will return to back to the field, not as a player but as the coach for India A and India U-19 teams. BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur made firm that he has convinced him and Dravid has agreed to coach both the teams.
“The good news is that Rahul Dravid has agreed to coach the India A and India U-19 teams in the future” said the secretary in a press conference. Dravid becomes a part of BCCI by joining the ‘Fab-Four’ i.e., Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.
The other three, Sourav, Sachin and Laxman are now members of the BCCI Cricket advisory committee after The Board of Control for Cricket in India appointed them. They also held their first meeting in meeting on June 6th 2015 at the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Kolkata.
For the exposure of the India A team, BCCI secretary told the honorary advisory committee to endorse for the team and take up overseas tours.
Rahul Dravid coached for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and has escalated in the field of coaching. The Wall’s ultimately wanted to coach than being in the advisory committee, and that’s what he has chosen.
